To the outgoing board members of the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel,
The Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel elected a new board of directors on 25 February 2015. The new board members and I wish to express our appreciation and thank the outgoing board members for their many years of activity to achieve the goals of the Association and its members. Thank you for your dedication and perseverance, for forging new paths.
We offer a special thank you to Rachel Levin, whose strength has kept the Association vital. Thank you and appreciation to Advocate Joseph Melamed, who served as Chairman of the Board for many years. We wish him a speedy recovery and good health.
Directorship of the new board brings heavy responsibility to maintain the existence of the Association for the years to come. It is no secret that the Association is in the most difficult situation since its beginning. Our founding fathers are dwindling. I hope that we will be able to not only maintain the Association but also progress forward to reach the goals for which the Association was established.
We aim to improve and to initiate activities to incorporate the next generations and when the time comes to hand them the torch.
We are sure that you, the outgoing Board members, will guide us and offer advice and assistance.
From the bottom of my heart I wish for each and every one of you good health and happiness.
Best wishes to all for a very Happy Pesach,
Arie Ben-Ari Grodzensky
